Instinct

Ian instinctively lowers himself to the ground before splashing in the water. Based on this and his (good sensed) refusal to stand up on the unstable foam platform at swim lessons, we are confident he will survive an ice break -- you know, if he ever went ice fishing in Minnesota. Must be the Viking blood in his lineage.

Two

2 really does feel like a milestone. All of a sudden Kira is talking in sentences and Ian wants to use the potty all.the.time. OK, so her sentences amount to some kind of reprimand that she's practicing to use on Ian, and Ian wants to use the potty because he likes to run around naked. But still.

Ian wasn't too interested in the dik-dik, but the swinging double doors were pretty fun.

Is it evil of me to post a picture of Ian crying? It's the only pic I have where you can see both sets of pajamas. And this post, after all, is about the pajamas. Which I really bought for myself, because I thought they were pretty cute.
